The Role
As our first Lead AI Engineer, you will lead the development of AI-driven applications that directly impact doctors, staff, and patients. This role is for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, takes ownership of projects from concept to production, and is excited about solving real-world medical challenges with AI.
You Should Only Apply If:
- You have experience developing, optimizing, and deploying AI models using React, Next.js, and relevant frameworks.
- You have implemented retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, fine-tuning, and agent-based architectures.
- You have built and maintained AI infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and efficient.
- You have designed and implemented APIs and backend services to support AI-driven functionalities.
- You have developed and maintained data pipelines to ensure high-quality data for AI training and inference.
- You have experience taking customer requests and turning them into well-defined product requirements.
- You have deployed models into production, monitored performance, and implemented retraining strategies.
You Should NOT Apply If:
- You do not have experience developing, optimizing, and deploying AI models using React, Next.js, and relevant frameworks.
- You have not implemented retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, fine-tuning, or agent-based architectures.
- You have not designed or implemented APIs and backend services to support AI-driven functionalities.
- You have not developed or maintained data pipelines to ensure high-quality data for AI training and inference.
- You have never deployed models into production, monitored performance, or implemented retraining strategies.
- You need constant direction and prefer working in a large engineering team with predefined tasks.
- You are looking for a research-heavy AI role rather than building practical, deployed AI applications.
- You are not comfortable with both coding and deploying AI-driven solutions end-to-end.
- You are not interested in collaborating with non-technical healthcare professionals to refine AI applications.
- You don’t want to be the first AI engineer helping define the company’s AI and technology roadmap.
