The Role
As a Senior Backend/AI Engineer, you’ll build the systems that power this personal coaching experience. Your work will directly impact how people spend their time and whether they achieve what matters most to them.
What You’ll Do
- Build the AI and backend systems that assist consumers level up their human performance
- Develop agentic workflows for integrations, protocols, assessments, and interventions
- Benchmark and improve the quality of coaching interactions and outcomes
- Create infrastructure for processing behavioral signals and delivering timely guidance
- Implement systems that continuously evaluate and enhance coaching effectiveness
- Collaborate with behavioral scientists to translate research into persistent behavior change
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong skills in Python (our backend uses FastAPI)
- Experience using AI for coding and working with AI product tools and platforms
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable system design
- Ability to handle sensitive data responsibly
- Passion for building tools that help people live better
Nice to Have
- Background in behavioral science or psychology
- Experience with conversational AI or voice interfaces
- Prior work in health, wellness, or productivity applications
