AI Software Engineer: Creative Tooling
We’re looking for an AI software engineer to help build out our system that takes AI decisions — scripts, clips, music, voice — and turns them into finished, editable video content.
You’ll own both the backend logic that generates content, and the frontend editor that lets creatives refine and finalize it.
What You’ll Do
- Continue building the video editor UI that visualizes and plays back AI-generated content
- Develop AI logic to determine:
- Clip sequencing + transitions
- Voiceover generation
- Text overlays and styling
- Background music and pacing
- Integrate with an existing FFmpeg JSON pipeline to render AI decisions into video
- Enable users to edit directly in the UI and regenerate final video output
- Own the full creative pipeline: AI-first draft → human-approved final
- Work closely with our AdManager and Creative Agent systems to keep everything tightly connected
What We’re Looking For
- Dev experience at Adobe, Descript, Runway, Lumen5, or as an early engineer at a creative AI/media startup
- A proven track record building (or heavily contributing to) AI-first creative tools
- Ability to take projects from scratch to polished, production-ready UX and media pipelines
- Comfort working alongside designers, creatives, and ad/performance teams
Key Technical Skills
- Frontend/UI: TypeScript, React, timeline/canvas-based editing interfaces
- Media automation: FFmpeg, MoviePy, Remotion, Adobe APIs
- AI integration:
- LLM prompting (OpenAI, Claude, etc.)
- LangChain / LlamaIndex / tool calling
- Voice synthesis (e.g. ElevenLabs, AWS Polly)
- Storyboarding logic and scene assembly
- Backend glue: Python, FastAPI, async job queues
- Pipeline architecture: Modular, readable JSON for controlling render logic
- Experience with S3, asset storage, and creative file workflows
- Bonus: Familiarity with agent architectures and procedural/working memory concepts
