Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Category Manager, CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO
We are looking for a Category Manager with expertise in CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strategic demeanor – specifically, the ability to bring together industry data, business requirements, regional perspectives, and analytics to develop and implement a category strategy for the CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO category of spend – and the ability to drive results that timely meets targets while delivering a high level of customer service.
Genpactis seeking a collaborative and results-oriented CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO Category Manager to work with our clients to develop and execute category and sourcing strategies that support each company’s business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. In this capacity, you will have substantial involvement in supporting sales and solution design and in helping procurement organizations expand their involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas.
Responsibilities
- Identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities in CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO spending across a wide array of leading companies
- Lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
- Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship plans
- Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO Category Management team is supporting overall company direction and growth
- Mentor CAPEX, Facilities, and MRO team members on stakeholder and project management, with a special emphasis on collaboration, customer focus, delivery excellence, continuous improvement, negotiations and contracting
- Represent the Sourcing & Category Management team as a category expert to current and prospective customers
- Conduct industry and supplier research, assessment, identify market trends, competitors, spend/cost drivers, value drivers, risks and innovation opportunities; keep stakeholders informed
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven working experience in regional or global sourcing; experience in professional services sourcing is a plus
- Past experience in consultative role and skills and ability to communicate, collaborate and build momentum with all levels to influence and achieve desired outcomes – requires strong interpersonal and listening skills, ability to see the big picture
- Past experience in directly managing functional and business sourcing relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical mentality and experience, problem solving, organization skills, good with numbers and cost/spend/savings analysis
- Advanced negotiation experience
- Change management experience
- Strong and consistent self-starter
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Good understanding of upstream and downstream sourcing process from setting strategy to implementation and reporting
- Results-oriented with focus on meeting targets
- Consistent sense of urgency to meet deadlines, targets, and increase client value
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (particularly but not limited to strong Excel skill set); a working knowledge of sourcing technologies and data management systems such as databases, spend, cash, PO dashboards and portals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA or equivalent is preferred, however significant experience can cover for qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification (or underway/a willingness to pursue) a plus

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $125,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
